Seat Belts

The passenger seatbelt on my S3 constantly jams at the runner behind your shoulder. This pisses the other half off! I think it is due to the webbing being past its best. Does anyone know where I can get a repacement or repair? KennyW KennyW

I never liked the OE seatbelts. The lock (female) end is too long if you have the seat all the way back. When mine started jamming, I took the car to Quickfit (no, not with a K) Safety Belt Service near Kingsbury, North London. I had better quality belts fitted (any colour you like), with the locks bolted straight through to the lower chassis tubes. It's a common problem. The angle at which the bits are installed make it difficult to use. I occasionally scream and shout when trying to get one on. Trick is to turn around and lift the belt vertically through the holder rather than trying to pull it at 90 degrees or more.

I have the same problem with both mine. I find the trick is to pull them out towards the front of the car rather than directly across your chest - this works fine.

Seems to happen to all S series. Good excuse though to get your arm around the passenger to "help" them.
