Electric window stopped working S2

Covered about 1000 miles in the S2 in the last few weeks - Stag day tour of Devon and Somerset - blasting back across Exmoor and the Blackdowns was superb! - (in company with two Chimps, a 993, a Z3 3.0 and a Hyundai Coupe) and then a tour of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset for the honeymoon - the car went fantastically well, accommodated all our luggage with comfort (including wetsuits, bodyboards etc.) and was very reliable (even staying cool in traffic) but now the passenger side electric window has stopped working. You can't have everything I suppose but has anyone got any ideas on where to start in terms of tracing the fault? Fortunately the window is currently up so its more annoying than anything else.

1st/easiest thing to do is to check the rubber seals around the glass; my driver's window sticks on this and will either crawl down, (ok going up as the seal is designed to stop water creeping into the window), or simply stick alltogether. In my experience if it sticks alltogether, it will probably blow the fuse, but both of my Ss have had the fuses swapped from IIRC 15 amp as suggested to 30amps. Not a great idea if the rest of your wiring can't take it..
If its sticking, a couple of quid from Halfords for a can of silicone lubrication stuff will free it up, but you need to reattach the rubber, else it will fail again.
Next option I fear is to take the door apart. Remove the speaker and through that you can access the bolt that secures the door skin to the door. Once thats undone, the doorskin can pop off quite easily, (usual trim poppers alll around the doors edge). From there, its a question of testing connections etc.
The window on my S3C failed as when it had the door taken apart it was put togther with the wires badly taped up so the 1st time the window was lowewred it pulled the wires out of the motor. Check to make sure the window runs up and down smoothly before you reattach the door skin, (its a fiddly job)..
