Is there a worldwide shortage of fabsil????

I've bought some renovo to re-blacken the hood, saw some fabsil in halfrauds the other day but wifey was nagging me to leave as we had been in there for a long time ( I had been looking at 'stuff' ) So didn't buy it.

Now I need it to waterproof the hood, I can't find the stuff anywhere, halfrauds, B and Q, woolworths, everywhere.

It's not being used to power dictators cars in africa or anything daft is it?

Get some thompsons waterseal if you can't find any fabsil

Can't see why you should have any problem getting any....

Hi Mike - Millets, Blacks camping or any outdoor shop should sell it.
Good stuff - it did make the S2's top look cleaner/very slightly darker as well, don't forget to either "hoover" dust off first or wash it down and wait to dry.

I've always used Thompson's Water Seal (V8S and Wedge)it does a great job. It's probably cheaper than fabsil, you can buy it in big tins (apply with paintbrush). But be careful because it's not easy to remove from paintwork once dry. My tin is nearly empty now so for my next waterproofing session I'll probably buy the new Thompson's One Coat Water Seal Ultra.

Only ever used the Renovo to spruce up for colour,never used the Thompsons waterseal.
If you do seal the roof, does the next Renovo treatment still work OK?
