body off for a while

Lifting the body off at the end of August for a good root around and paint. The car will be in a standard garage so the body will have to sit above the chassis on trestles, does anyone know the best places to support the body?

not oof the top of my head, but its the sort of job that will have been done and discussed here plenty. Take a look at Pies' site too, he's sure to have linked to someone discussing this..

Hi Steve.

I found the biggest issue when I took mine off was the rear of the tub drooping from the rear of the doors back.
So if you run some supports under where the body bolts to the chassis behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels then another one supporting the boot area you should be fine.

I used a long pole through the space left when the petroltank removed.
For the front I used the hole in the floor at your feed (drainage holes)
I put a piece of wood on top and a metal plate from below. I put a bolt through (sandwiching the glassfibre) on the bolt I attached the belt lifting the front of the body. works perfectly.
