had all of my clutch fluid gone after leaving the car for 5 days, looks like slave cylinder seal is gone.

can anyone confirm what the original item is from & if this part number is correct for a replacement unit?

many thanks,

Richard

Have ordered a new slave for this afternoon, not cheap tho!

nearly £70 inc vodka & tonic, and thats with a mates rate discount. apparently they dont make the seal repalcement kits now.

(fitting is free - i have a willing work mate who loves getting his hands dirty for free, all i have to do is make the coffee!!!)

Rich, sorry I didn't see this earlier. Tony (Alpine) and I did the master and slave on mine last year. Although the slave looked identical, the housing was slightly larger and wouldn't fit so we ended up taking the insides out and putting them in the old housing. It may be worth thinking about if you have the same problem. Dave

Similar tale here... Dismantled slave, fine wet 'n dry on bore, scavenged a 'near as I could get' seal from the Motor Factors' odds and sods bin, re-assembled.. Been A1 since and not so much as drip in the past 4k miles

all sorted, it was a straight swap that took about an hour in all.

it turns out the top bolt was loose & possibly has been since i have had the car, as occasionally the clutch made a light clicking when depressed (i just ignored it thinking it must be a usual tvr thing). the piston wasn't alighning properly & worn the seal at a slight angle.

anyway, back to normal now.

has anyone used octane boosters in thier fuel?

Richard.
