quote:Paul, It varies, but I think they fitted either Lucas or Bosch. It's probably unlikely that it's the same as the Granada/Sierra as TVR adapted the fitting to make it fit the S engine bay. You will need to take it with you to get an exchange Alternator that fits. Roy Edited by Roy C on Friday 21st September 13:31
Does anyone know what alternator is fitted to a S2, I need to order one but not sure what type it is. Is it a standard Granada one? mines only charging 11.5v when not under load.
I found the number on the alternator, it is a Lucas LRA 152 but my local shop says the LRA 226 has replaced it. I checked with another shop, they said the 152 is a 65amp where as the 226 is only a 45amp so not sure if it will be enough. The 226 is £41.40 + VAT exchange, the 152 is £74.08 + VAT. Also the 226 is in stock where as the 152 I’ll have to order.
