oh dear failed mot on wednesday! rear wishbone rotted and front nearside balljoint. think the balljoint is from a saab 900, anybody know if the wishbone is from a seirra,
also got a warning on steering coupling think its ford as well, any thoughts guys

rear wishbones are tvr special, no longer made for S1.

tvrcarparts.com sell them, but only for the S3, and they are slightly different - they will need to be shimmed to get the camber & toe in angles right, and you might need shorter shock absorber / springs as well, as I believe that the shock mounting is in a slightly different place.

And be prepared for the price - approx £300 a side plus fitting.

Are you sure it can't be welded?

The front top balljoint is from a Saab 900, upside down - get the Quinton Hazel part QSJ1004S. It apparently fits better. I have one to fit in the next few weeks.

The front bottom balljoint is from a Fiat 124 / Lada 1500.

looks like its off down my local scrapyard for a wishbone, lucky for me they have a S1. if its wishbones are too rotten i could get the old one welded if mot centre will accept it.thanks for that on the balljoint, anyone know were the steering coupling/linkage is from

I would have thought a engineering fabricator would build one from a sample for a lot less than £300???
