TVR V8S Colour Match

After months of trying to get someone to weven look at my V8 to touch up the stone chips I'm giving up. Does anyone know how I can match the colour of my V8S, its dark metalic grey? The body code is P422 - A699B. Halfords mede me up a small bottle this morning based on this code but its a fraction too dark. There were about 3 different mixes for the code but this one seemd the best guess for the year. The alternative would have matched the code A699B/D but as mine did not have the D sufuix I went for the mix I did. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks. Joe

When we wanted a paint match for the cerbera we called tvrbodyshop www.tvrbodyshop.co.uk, I think (but i could be wrong) they told worked out the colour from the chassis no., but I'm not entirely sure. I want to get some touch-up paint for my V8S (just in case!), so have been meaning to call them again.

Dulford Automotive got me a pot of touch up paint while my car was in for some work.

I think the P*** gives you the paint code but it may be the whole number you quoted.

You could ask them where they got it from.
