I have once again smacked my exhaust on a speed hump but sadly this time the volume went up :-( It appears I have seperated the weld right at the front of the rear exhaust section where it slides (hah!) into to manifolds. I spent all morning trying to get the exhaust off and have now given up and taken it to a local MOT place who can weld it in situ. For future info though, how do you seperate the exhaust from the manifold? I tried it cold and hot. I tried to wiggle the rear exhaust around (as much as the chassis allows). I finally tried smacking the hell out of it with a large lump hammer but to no avail. -- Mark

Carry on doing what you are doing to remove the exhaust, use lots of WD40 (I use Plusgas) and swear at it, they are a real pain when they are stuck but you are on the right track! Cheers LeeBee

I'm glad I gave in in the end as it was able to be welded in situ for not much money at all and the exhaust lives to fight another day and my knuckles survived also. I had quite got used to the increased burbling, spitting and back firing and now it's back to normal... ah well -- Mark
