Hi Alex, Congrates on the purchase. I used to own the same S1, sold her about 6 years ago. I have some great memories. Fitted a stainless exhaust and she sounded fantastic! Only reason I parted company was to buy a chimeria. Just going through tiv withdrawal yet again
as I sold my lovely S3 to IanM67. Hope you all enjoy the summer, I'll be back...

Simon,
Thought you might pop up at some point....... Rest assured that I'm looking after the S3. I must say that it certainly stimulates conversation. I'm the envy of most of the chaps in the office but the exhaust note does make it difficult for me to disguise my arrival if I'm trying to catch my sales team lazing about !!
I'm still not talking to my brother after he managed to break the throttle cable
I'm looking forward to the trip to Le Mans in a couple of weeks, I'll make sure you get a full report on our return.
Speak to you soon I hope !!

It looks good from the pictures mate. When you look close there are a lot of little things that needs to be done. Good little car though, enjoying it very much so far
Haven't pushed her yet and doubt I will ever as just the pleasure of cruising along with a big ROAR in the back is great.
As mentionned above, hard to arrive unnoticed
Just curious though, did it have an engine fan override switch fitted when you had it?

Alex, yes it did. I also fitted one to the S3 that Ian now has. Got fed up with the unreliability of the otter switches. Although if I rember on the s1 the thing to keep an eye was the relay, tucked up somewhere in the passengers footwell. I ended up changing all of them I think. Niehter of the cars overheated, I just got paranoid watching and waiting whilst in traffic!
