To all you S'ers. The members of the elite Royal Wedge Squadron had a brilliant time with you guys
The weather was in fact to our advantage as your leaders were in fact in the naffy keeping dry. This gave us the tactical advantage and enabled us to encircle your encampment and with the aid of superior weapons of mass destruction make off with all the loot
General MikeB proved to be the loudest of the day and I myself managed to bag a tuning session with the almighty Mark Adams
(sorry Prof) 
This will come in useful as we are going to need every advantage we can get for our next campaign involving some monkey business

I second that, many thanks to the organisers, we had a great time and met some nice people (admittedly just before we shot 'em with the WMD's - Waterpistols of Mass Disruption).
Also, if anybody wants to become an honorary Wedge squadron pilot for the day on our next 'invasion' mission (can you guess who it will be yet? ) and join us please contact either Dicky or myself - all you need are some inflatable golf clubs sticking out of the boot and a couple of five foot inflatable bananas strapped to the bonnet, oh and a couple of WMD's !

Hear, hear just wot Dicky n Mikey said, thanks to all S Club attendees that made the effort to get along to Ettington I hope you all had good weekend, really felt for you with Saturdays weather, at least you got decent sunshine for your journeys home
Trust our Invasion antics didnt cause offence its all meant "in the best possible taste"

Hiya Mike, luv my little S, I reckon if I had got the RV8 from the word go then I wouldn`t be here, I really needed the entry level S to introduce me to these crazy machines. I felt the RV8 was to much to handle for a first tiv. I still have a hankering for a cossie lump but the RV8 is still on the cards. The wedge invasion was great and only tiv owners could come up with such a cracking idea, were you up with them? if you were I hope you had a good day.

I would be surprised if a wedge had cats in the first place given when the wedges were built. Thing is when the cats fail it makes sense to take them off (as they are not needed on most of the S cars as cats were not a legal requirement until 1993)rather than shell out hundreds of pounds to replace them. As far as I know no one there was running cherry bombs, although I know V8smith has had them fitted on his V8s which is supposed to sound really good.
... the db meter had the S cars a fair bit lower than last year as well...The way we do the sound reading is a very inexact method and readings from one event are not comparable to another. You noticed the difference it made to Doddze's reading when we tested him back-to-back with another car compared to the first time when his rear end was pointing towards open space. Also, wind makes a big difference, I was judging the distance by eye and holding the sound meter above the level of the exhaust.
It's funny though that you think that bloomin 'eck the car sounds loud whilst your driving it, especially as you give it some beans but its only when somebody else has a go of your car and takes the car up the road that you get the feel of exactly how loud it is.
The first time somebody else had a go in the car as my dad was driving it back to the house along our road I thought to myself 'bloody hell that sounds loud! - too loud' (if there is such a thing).
Apparently looking through the receipts for £8.2k's worth of engine blueprinting and re-building carried out by the cars previous owner (thanks!) there was a huge bill for a custom stainless exhaust and out of all the TVR cars I have had this one sounds the most abrupt and aggressive. To be honest I prefered the 350i V8 rumble and pop and bangs on the overrun than my 450SE's abrupt bark.
You just cannot beat a V8 for rumble IMHO.
