Has anyone seen a long range forecast for the weekend? also, the parking area, does anyone know if it`s tarmac or concrete? Dont like soggy wet boggy grass.

A 5day forcast is available here
www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=1580
but of course that currently only takes us to Friday.
As regards parking I am fairly confident I have seen somewhere that it will be a pukka car park but hopefully Derek will be along to confirm at some point.

Carl.

Good link Doug (ya wuss).
Looks like Saturday, wet am, clearing in afternoon, wet again at night.. Sunday, generally miserable and cloudy but I dont care cos I can only attend Saturday due to prior engagement.

No chance of a miraculous switch to sunshine and 25 degrees then? Still got a leaky roof thanks to very seized bolts putting the kybosh on getting a nice new one fitted on Saturday. To add insult to injury, I think I've got a knackered exhaust manifold gasket as the car has developed a louder than usual ticking on the way home.

Not a good weekend

Bo$%*cks to the weather . Doug check the welds on your manifolds, they have a habit of blowing. If it`s the manifold get it off and welded up, one of mine blew at the weld, just a little tricky getting them off.

I have every confidence that the weather will clear by the weekend but we will be on tarmac and under cover for the BBQ if required.

Update from the BBC, Saturday 15 degrees and sunny in Stratford

Car parking for Sat.

I think the plan is (someone correct me if I`m wrong)
Derek's getting there early and securing the first two car parks on site, the furthest one away on the pic above will be for trade stands etc.

S series will be parked by type in the next bay .
Any non TV Rs or others will be parked in the next bay . Right side of pic above.
This will depend on the car park being available to us and attendees being patient on the day.
Hope this helps

Snag is, the BBC don;t publish an arthritis index, important when you get to my age

Any idea on what a 'safe' level of arthritis index is?

I'd hate to leave home when the index is at 5, only to get there and find it's risen to 10 and I can't get out of the car

Andy,
Have you decided to go now?
If you look at the 'Southern convoy' thread, it seems as though everyone else is dropping out and I'll be a crowd of one at Sutton Scotney!
Let me know if you're going.

Nick,
Ive seen the other thread, but if I do go I may take a different route (I'll let you know if I'm taking your route).

I'll probably decide Friday evening - should have a better idea of the arthritis index by then

Andy,
OK - guess you've still got my mobile.
I'll go to Sutton Scotney - just to see if anyone turns up. If there are no takers I'll give you a call and see if you are on the move. Maybe we could plan something then?
Nick

PS: BBC 5 day forecast has it as sunny periods and some heavy showers.
