When I bought my Tiv I had numerous peeps come up to me in petrol stations, car parks, etc asking about the car and complimenting me on its looks and noise, and waves and smiles from passersby.

After a couple of months these little asides to life died off, and for most of my ownership now I've had almost no-one at all come up and say hello.

I still get the Nova brigade stop and look but who needs that, eh? They're probably trying to work out where I could attach the bodykit to make it faster.

So I need to know - do I smell? Or is everyone a miserable bugger? Am I not giving out the right 'I've got a shiny new car to show off' pheromones? Is there a spray I can apply under the arms and bonnet?

I demand constant appreciation of my P&J from the public dammit!

Tales and ribald jokes about your own 'meet the public' welcome...

A few admiring glances is all I ever get, only once has anyone stopped and chatted.

Kids seem to really apreciate mine. Always getting 'cool car' and the like. Think the adults think it, but are generaly too green eyed to say it.

generally the kids will shout nice car.

Loads of people turn round as i approach tho...... note to self: stop blipping throttle & running in 2nd to make noise when in a tubular high sided street.

I sometimes get...what is it from people who dont know !

Beleive it or not, i went into a new indipendant dealer recently who had a Griff & Tuscan inside & while looking at the GRiff, i told him i had an S....... his reply was "what a Tuscan S?"

no i said, an S series......oh he said (obviously having no idea what it was)

I left quickly ! also his Griff was £4k overpriced

I thought that was a good reason to buy one, I think mine has an auto-throttle blip in those situations!!

I have recently been told mine's a nice TR6
