door hinge

decided to do what i've been putting off for ages and remove my passenger door as it was sagging. found that the bottom retaining nut has broken free fron the grp on the body. does anyone know of the best sticky stuff to bond the nut back into the bodywork? is epoxy any good for this?. never repaired grp before so dont have much experience.

try searching this forum, I`m sure I`ve read somewhere that someone has done this before.

Same reply really. I had a similar problem with my S1 years ago. hinge had sized, until eventually the top nut/hinge pulled itself out of the bodywork. I read a few months back a forum thread and instructions on how to do it. Printed it out, but if you search under Gassing Station>S Series>DOOR HINGES AGAIN<, this should do. Most of help was from MickS2 & Bonefish. If you still have problems let me know.
