Is anybody coming over to Blackpool for this years TVRCC Back Home event?

It'll be nice not having to get up early for a long drive to attend (not even thought about what time I need to leave for S Club Heaven). I've got my time for the factory tour 9-10am on the Sunday.

I'll be there, just moved into the area so it's only 10 min's away.
Factory tour 11am. What time do you have to be on the prom on Sat?

I can't believe this is a ticketed event. I work at TVR and even I will have to get a pass from the car club. Good job Iv'e got a TVR to come in though.

There is a good chance I will be going, not sure what hotel we will be staying in though.
Any recommendations?

You should have received a pack from TVRCC, with car park pass and ticket(s) for the factory tour, mine arrived last Friday.

Cars on the prom can arrive from 9:30am - 10:30am (passes say 10:30 but somewhere else it says 11:30), there will then be no car movements till 4pm. According to a post on the TVRCC site there should be almost 400 cars.

I'm there from before 8am as I'm one of the marshals. My factory tour slot is 9:50am.

Chris, if your now in Blackpool area the Blackpool branch of the TVRCC meet last Wednesday of the month (8pm) at The Shovels Pub. www.tvr-blackpool.co.uk/

Dave, one thing that Blackpool is not short of is hotel beds (along with alcoholics, drug addicts, stag/hen parties etc - apparently there are more hotels beds in Blackpool than all of Portugal put together). These range from very dodgy to just dodgy

You would be best having a look on here www.blackpoolhotel.com/ Best would probably be Hilton, Imperial (all the top people stay here when the party conferences are in town), Cliffs, Savoy. Theses are all north of the town centre. 'Big Blue Hotel' gets good reviews and is owned by the Pleasure Beach so ideal if you plan on going on the rides but is at the south end of Blackpool

I'm going up on the Friday and stopping at the Best Western Carlton - just down the road from the Hilton and Imperial according to streetmap.

Still haven't got my tickets yet , telephoned the CC last week and they said they were busy trying to get them off by the end of the week.

Anybody fancy a drink on the Friday evening?

Well - I don't know about anyone else but I enjoyed 'Back Home', apart from the sun burn I'm suffering from.

A fair few S on show - had a few people asking me questions about the car.

I forgot to take the stills camera, but have some video footage.

It was good to talk to Gazman again (doing his bit by wearing his SCH teeshirt - as I was but it was covered by my marshals top). Hope sales stayed good for you. I think I've got some video of the car doing the first run (not had chance to check the tape yet)

Was an excellent day, I think every kind of TVR was down there.
The day was only slightly marred by a blond lady with two blokes who points her finger out and says "Ooooooo look at that ******, take my picture with it!
It was nice to have people getting their picture taken with my car but calling it a bloody ******* on a TVR meet! My girlfriend found the whole thing hilarious.
Can you guess what the blond lady called it?
