Swirl Tank For V8S

I need to buy a new swirl tank for my V8S, are these still available? or has anyone had a alloy replacement made?

I seem to remember that somebody had remanufactured the standard swirl tanks, was it Steve Reid or Adrian Venn or somebody like that? Failing that just sketch out the design you want and ask somebody like AH Fabrication to make it for you. They've made custom tanks for me in the past and it has not been particularly expensive.

Hi Steve .. my V8S fuel tank is rusty and gently leaking fuel .. I was going to get an alloy version made up to save some weight .. but how much is a stainless replacement for comparison?

Hi Joo Stainless fuel tanks are £345 plus Gordon Browns bit and Swirl pots are £85 plus war fund sTeVeR

You're not trying to save weight over the rear wheels Joolz,i would have thought the s needs a bit more weight overe the rears

saving weight is always a good plan .. ideally i'd like to shift it out of the front so a boot mounted radiator might be on the cards seeing as the current one is leaking .. but I've also got the outriggers to change too as the o/s one snapped in half the day before driving down to santa pod.

My poor car appears to be falling apart .. but still goes, sounds and looks great

While you are replacing the outriggers, why not incorporate some fittings to make them water pipes then you can fit rear mounted rad and pipe water to engine through sills. sTeVeR
