I am currently living overseas but upon my return am planing a major renovation of my S.

At present it is ford Ash Black paint with a light beige interior.

I plan to keep her black but change the interior to a deep red.

Does anyone have a car of these colours and can post photos of the car & interior so i can guage the "look". Spivvy, i believe your car is black n red?

I will be changing the hood to a burgundy red too.

Mine's got 'beige' leather sat on red carpets. The problem with the deeper red carpets is although they are in good condition, they have faded a lot in places where the sun gets to them. Having said that, the colur scheme you like sounds nice. I see you're midlands based, you're welcome to see mine and see what I mean (Leicester). Cheers, Dave

Ah, when in the UK Midlands based but i am living in Asia for two years, hence getting all my plan together for my return.

See you have an SV as well as the S. V nice, im a "V" man through and through too. Ride a red 748 (pic on my profile).

Cheers for the advice on carpet. Thought a red carpet would be too much so was thinking about keeping the carpets black and maybe a few black inserts on the doors and seats to tone it down. Qont know how many shades of red leather you can get but was thinking of a very deep/burgundy to match the roof retrim,

Hiya, yes I noticed the Ducatti, very nice indeed. To my ears, they sound a bit like TVRs of the bike world!

I think my carpets would have looked great when new, or even OK with uniform fading, but faded patches...

I like your idea of 'red' leather to match the roof, that should set it off nicely.

Hopefully. Im going to replace my seats also as the springs have given up. But am having trouble matching modern aftermarket ones with the feel of the car. Many of the rally types are far too modern looking.

That was another option, like the old Astons and some Porches. Going for the black as i think S's look best in darker colours, thats not to say they dont look good in all others. Quite like the dark bronze/brown colour ive seen on someones profile. Cant for the life remember who's it was though?

My thoughts exactly with the V8S........
Something about the combination of oxblood leather, wood, gunmetal grey and a bit of chrome

This has a red interior, not sure if it's any use but the exterior is a darkish colour:

That has to be one of the sexiest looking model S's i've seen. Just to prove it doesnt have to be a V8!
