Grumbly noise when pulling away

Coming from the front (I think). Any suggestions? Clutch isn't slipping and the Wee Beastie drives fine. Oh the joys of 'S' ownership!

Engine mount going and exhaust manifold touching the chassis?

Something loose and dangling against the tyre?

Or as in my case, engine sump occasionally rubbing anti roll bar due to, I presume, worn mounts..

When that happens on mine, it's usually the wife complaining that it's too cold to have the roof off.

Downpipes catching on the cross member because of worn engine mounts?

if it happens when you lift off the throttle as you slow down, particularly from higher revs then it may well be what I have currently got - worn diff bracket bushes
