hesitant from take off....

morning,

seem to have a hesitation from idle between 1-2000rpm, but only when cold.
have changed the TP numerous times over the years, but this problem seems to be lying somewhere else?

any thoughts on the air temp sender or air flow meters?

any help appreciated, ta.

Hi there,

Have you changed your rotor arm?

I had a similar problem and after a couple of hours on a rolling road we discovered that the springy bit (not very technical) on top of the rotor arm (the brass contact on top of the arm) wasn't making good contact - must be a vibration thing.

Could try cleaning it up and giving it a gentle tweek.

It could be dirt in the air flow meters or dirt in the air bypass valve.....

.....or a couple of hundred other things.

I had this and removed and cleaned the air flow meters which seemed to work. Having said that it could be several different issues.

will try removing the air fow meters later on i think, is it a 10 min job or will i regret taking things to bits & not bieng able to get home tonight?

have cleaned the idle speed valve, but made no difference.

as said, it only seems to be when its cold. ?

I remember a previous thread along these lines and from memory I think it was concluded that they all do it. Mine does anyway but it very quickly clears (within about half a mile or so).

Mine does this when cold.

I don't care. It's fine when it's warm so it's not worth worrying about.
