Can antbody tell me what car the brake hoses are off on a series 1 2.8i, as I am interested in fitting a set of braided hoses.

Best option is to go to the likes of Demon Tweeks - they sell kits specific to the TVR S. You need two hoses (a long one and a short one) for each side at the front (or I have seen cars with a single very long one) and a short one for each rear side - ie a total of 6 hoses.

One thing to watch is the threads. On mine the front brake pipe threads were metric but the rears were UNF...!!

I replaced the front flexi hoses on my S1 and had to get them from David Geralds as they were bespoke TVR items (and as such were not cheap).I only found out that they were TVR items after 20 minutes in my local motor factors while the poor guy went through all his brake books trying to find them!!

Thanks for the info guys but as somebody said I have 1 long hose at the front either side and 1 short hose either side at the back.Because of the problems trying to locate a set I am having them made at a motor sport centre. (£10 each which I think is cheap for braided hoses.)
