Replacement tyres: S1
Discussion
I'm looking to replace my worn Bridgestones.
The nearest spec I can find for my old RE71 tyres is the RE720 at £46.30 each inc VAT and delivery, buying online.
I've bought tyres online before, and fitting is not a problem.
Anyone else out there using RE720's care to give feedback on performance/grip/wear?
Anyone else found anything cheaper/better?
Thanks

Hi there, have a similar thread going on at the moment
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=239113&f=11&h=0
Am looking at some Faulken tyres at about the £45 mark, again bought online from blackcircle, (£235 fitted locally), would be interested to compare with the Bridgestones, where have you sourced them from?
Will monitor both threads as i work up to buying new boots, mine are pretty critical so will give a report on what ever i end up with
Happy (and safe)
Matt

Matt, the price I got for the Bridgestones was from www.mytyres.co.uk
They're listing the Falkens at £41 each for the H rated (130mph) version.
Whoaaa! Wait a minute... I just googled the Falken serial number and they're available direct from www.falkentyres.co.uk at £35.79 inc VAT!
But...
Shipping for 4 tyres brings the price up to £40.79/tyre. I've always had good sevice from mytyres though, so I'll stick with them.
