I am about to embark on a bit of tlc on my 87 S1
new clutch going in soon, anybody got top tips they learnt while doing one?

respray and new hood soon after, anybody got a good place for getting rubber trim for top of door. The bit that cleans the outside of the window when you wind it down?
It appears to be glued on the door and has silvered strip running down it.

Will post how i got on when the work is done.

Try Woolies for the window rubbers, they stock most profiles of rubber trim and are very helpful, if you send them a piece of your old one they should be able to match it.www.woolies-trim.co.uk

You can also get a quarter of pick'n'mix while you're at it.
