-does your water temp guage go up 'n down?
Discussion
...after sorting out my anti-freeze last night I went for a quick blatt and noticed my water temp guage was a bit more steady.
-According to the bible it should sit there 'rock-steady' at 90. Mine never has though, gets to the 90 mark, fan comes on, drops noticably lower than the 90 mark and repeats. Never over-heated, never lost coolant -anything to worry about?

Apart from the oscillation in traffic mine does this too - and I've got new radiator, water pump, thermostat, swirl pot cap and a freshly flushed system.

The guages are not exactly state of the art precision so before having a heart attack it is useful to borrow or buy an IR remote thermometer and check that the guage is doing what it should. If the car is running well then apply the "it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule.

Mine does this too... but I'm with Steve "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" Heath on this one...
