front end protection

I get nervous going over speed humps etc, has anyone come up with anything that protects the front of the spoiler from being scratched. (sad i know, but its perfect!) ive been looking for a rubber moulding from somewhere but as yet found nothing suitable, any ideas out there ... ta mark

Surely if your front spoiler doesn't clear a speed hump, the exhaust downpipes definitely won't make it.

I don't think I've grounded out the spoiler yet, but I've heard the exhaust scraping plenty on just about every speed hump I go (very slowly) over.

I have ground mine out on numerous occasions - before the springs and tyres were renewed I would grind the spoiler when doing a three point turn on any road with a crown

The sound it made the first time I didnt want to look. When i did, its not noticeable from the front at all. Rather predictably, it scratches the very base of the spoiler so as its hidden anyway. Granted, if you have a mint condition car then maybe, but mine is used everyday and whilst its condition is very good, I am not fussed by cosmetics that are out of sight.

Edited to say - just realised that my post was of no use whatsoever! oops. ah well, try some of that clear paint protecter film stuff. that better?

Mark, I reckon you should check your shocks/springs and tyre profiles,my S3 often scrapes the exhaust but never the front end there always seems to be enough ride height with 2 up and I am no lightweight.

Nip into your local DIY shop and buy yourself a pair of small shopping trolly wheels. bolt these on under the front, one each side. just leave enough of the wheels sticking down to contact the ground. as you hit the speed bump you'll rise refreshingly up into the sky just like a harrier on the Ark Royal !
