As mentioned on other threads there has been a bit of interest in some if us getting together in Rutland over the holiday period.

The village of Preston, just off the A47, was suggested as a possible venue and I spent this morning on various roads to / from the pub checking out some routes for us to have a run out.

I'd suggest meeting 12ish at the pub for a natter and a sarnie then an hour or so hoon to enable everyone to be well on the way back home before dusk?

Due to family commitments, predicted hangovers etc my preferred dates would be Tuesday 27/12 or Monday 2/1. Does anyone else fancy meeting up on either of these dates? If these dates are not convenient or the weather is against us we could arrange something for a bit later in 2006.

Cheers,
Longers

2/1 would suit me better - on 27/12 I'll be seeing the friends and family I didn't see on 25/12 & 26/12.

I'd be up for that on 2/1, as long as I can off-load the kids to their grannies

Mrs Blue Cerbera - Nice motor! Judging from your profile photo it looks like I've got a bit of polishing to do...

Why thank you Actually, it was the day Northampton lost all it's electricity for the afternoon so I spent the day polishing, and my neighbours watched and heckled. I keep looking at the photo to remind me how nice the car would look if I did it more often

Yours looks nice too, I love that colour - I recognise the number plate, did you get the car last spring ?

Psychobert, we could meet up somewhere en route if you wish. Also, Tim B has a night out in Sheffield planned for 19/20 or 21st if you're around - not sure of details yet.

Post code of the pub is LE15 9NW if anyone wants to check on multimap.com or similar.

I'll be popping along for a of the fab local ale over this weekend and making sure with the landlord that it'll be ok for us to meet there on 2/1.

Cheers,

Longers, it's really encouraging how much interest has been shown. I guess it may depend on what time of day we choose, but it may be worth asking Mark if there's any possibility of food, and if so will he need numbers etc. I understand that children are welcome which may also interest some. Happy to meet you there to discuss sometime before Christmas if you wish, cheers, Dave

The reason I bought my S was that both children don't fit in it and they fight if it is'nt fair so I never have to take either of them!!
