The fuel tank sender (plastic type)of my S3c died and it's impossible to get an original replacement in the Netherlands.
I can get a metal one fitted in classic mini's. A search on this forum does not clarify whether this one is usable. Some say it's the same one as used by TVR on earlier S cars.
Please help!

i don't think the mini one will fit i tried one also ,

Just fitted a mini fuel sender two weeks ago: it will fit after some modifications. You'll have to take off the centre plate using a spotweld drill, and you' ll have to bend both the rod onto which the variable resistor is fitted, as well as the arm that is attached to it. The electrical connections were the same as the old sender, as well as the resistance with fank full / tank empty. It is advisable to use two gaskets, one between the tank and the sender, one between the sender and its lockring, but I understood from previous postings on the forum that this is also the case with the sender as supplied by TVR.

Due to my PC dying a death recently and taking loads of odd documents down with it, I only have the version on file at Fotango - though it is in the public folder "transport - automobiles", listed as TVR S series fuel sender.

Maybe it's me but even if I blow that up, I can't read what the writing says, especially the top one. The middle one is ok apart from the writing in the big hole at the top. I can't read the writing on the bottom one either.
If you can clarify what it says, I'll draw up a nice neat version.

I think it was always a bit soft. I saved it from this site soon after my sender went to the pictures in April 2003, and I've only just managed to get it replaced.
The original drawing did apparently come from the factory
, but I cannot find the original thread as the archives don't seem to go back far enough (Ted 
help ?) I suppose the layout and part numbers are the important thing. I think it says "electrical pins" on both the middle and bottom one. I have got it as an equally fuzzy pdf liberated back from Fotango if you want it ?

Bloody well done - that's it, now why I couldn't find it
. I think the text is,
Top version - Fixing hole (plugged up) & sender in the centre
Middle version- Hole metal rim at top centre, with 4 x fixing holes and electrical pins across the centre.
Bottom version - Electrical pins across the centre, with two raised areas below that and a lip around the edge.
Over to tvrgit (hopefully) for the clever cad stuff now I suppose.
