Further too my other thread that has convinced me that an S is for me i have been looking at Insurance and am amazed that Directline have come up with the cheapest and best policy!
They don't see the soon to be wife as a problem unlike the other specialists i tried, some of which wants a stupid excess!
any one got any advise on possible people to try?
cheers in advance

I found Heritage were the cheapest when I was shopping around.
Paid £315 fully comp on a 1992 V8S, on 3000 mile limit. Any mileage not used can be carried over to the next year as well. You also get free trackday cover and full breakdown cover included with agreed value. This was back in June.

Hope that helps.

I started with Classic Line earlier this month for my S4. They are based at Hinckley. I am paying under £300, myself (elderly gent) only to drive, 5000 miles a year, garaged, £250 excess, no track days etc. This was a good £100 cheaper than Heritage and Mannings. Other company quotes were ludicrous - £900. This is my first year, and I think Mannings will be cheaper with a year's experience - assuming no claims.

I would call a few, there are lots listed on Pies website (www.tvrsseries.com) that should give you enough to go at!!
I use Classic Line and find them ecxellent, I pay £300 per year, including recovery, 5000 miles as a second car and an agreed value of £13,500.
I would give them a try if you wont do more than 5-7000 miles.
