When I bought my S2 it had a set of road wheels that I think were more commonly seen on Wedge 350i beasties - they look more like wire wheels with a "criss cross" pattern - they look good but are a b~gger to clean!

The turning circle on my S2 is a little worse than cr~p! Could these wheels be affecting it, or does everyone suffer with the same problem?

Mines got the original O.Z. 8-spokes fitted, turning circle is pretty bad also. I am however an ex-Spitfire owner, which has (apparently) the tightest turning circle going, hence I might not be the best judge

I can't see how your wheels would affect the turning circle - provided that they don't foul the wheelarches and you can get full lock.

My S3 is the same, and I still sometimes underestimate the turning circle, especially if I haven't driven the S for a while. I don't think my Alfa 156 is particularly good either, but it's a lot better than the S in that respect.

The disadvantage of not having the TVR as a daily drive, I suppose, you always have to re-acquaint yourself with the small quirks.

Surely that's academic on a rwd car, it'll turn round in its own length if you drop the clutch .... :illgetmecoat:

I've found no problem at all turning mine.

you lot don't know how to turn an S. Get the revs up drop the clutch, bury the throttle and turn the wheel, after lots of smoke you are facing the other way, easy!

you bunch of nancies!

Does this constitute abuse, I hope not!

all the best.

Pete,

Sorry to disapoint you!
The Triumph Herald/vitesse has the best turning circle, closely followed by the Black Cab.
Could this be the start of a new thread?

Those wheels were fitted to quite a few S series cars as standard. My Dog "Bodie" has a wonderful turning circle, my S2 doesn't

No - they LOOK great, but I bet they're even worse to clean!
