My "other car" had its Ford E93 A engine rebuilt, 1172cc 4 cylinder - cost £1000.
My bid on a Ford V6 to your spec would be min. £3500 - £4000 (only a guess !!)

About £1800 plus I'm having a roll bar fitted, the diff mount replaces and the tank carrier replaced.

The frightening thing was the passenger seat belt real mount disintegrated when it was undone. Although passengers are expendable (sorry Roy)it would have made a nasty mess of the windscreen.

Joking apart, it would have taking a lot of force to rip the remains of the mount from the chassis and the whole lot through the body.

Only six months ago it passed an MOT and I even inspected it myself while it was on the ramp, the chassis seemed fine. It was Waxoiled ever year but the rust was hidden by the body. How many more S's and even early Griff's, Chim's are in the same condition and don't know it? At least I know mine will be OK for a few years.

I’d recommend Ferriday Engineering, they did the heads for me on my S, they were very helpful and gave excellent value for money!
