Guys, revisiting an old issue here, but any tips gratefully received. I have taken the master cylinder off, undone the four nylocs in the footwell that hold the servo onto the bulkhead, and removed the brake pedal to pushrod clevis pin. Result? One obsinate servo that remains planted exactly where it was......How frustrating!!! I have done a search and found others have had similar trouble. Is brute force the only way forward???

I'm off now with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch to get medieval on it's ass!!

Good luck to England today

Brute force IS the only way forward it would appear!!(It came off in the end) Glad I had a rummage around however, as there is a rust hole the size of my index finger in the back of the servo:wow: Not good; the search is on for good secondhand........

Well done England

Recently replaced my brake servo, s/h one picked up from "The Workshop" Saab Specialists, Hanham , Bristol Tel. 0117 940 6121 Cost £20. Make certain you know which one you want, S1 and S2 are different, mine was for an S2 which was Saab 9000 - pre ABS.
Cheers.

Tidy, thanks for that. My car is an S3C, but I'm not sure of the differences in servos that were fitted to our cars. I think I'll just take the old one down to a scrappy and see if they have an identical bit.....failing that, I'll give the chaps you mentioned a call. Thanks again for the gen.
