my car's faster
Discussion
Well after the revelation that my car was only making 130hp on the dyno i thought i'd do something about it .. so i've fitted a malpassi regulator after teh existing faulty one in the return line .. sadly I broke my fuel line pressure tester (the bayonet end no longer bayonets kinda thing) so did it by listening to the sound of the fuel pump, then wound the regulator adjuster in until the pump started to change note, then wound another half turn.
No idea what the pressure is, but it's higher than before! lol .. I'll get darren at nobles to set it to make the 198hp we know it's capable of next time i'm over there .. it's much faster though .. which should be really good news for all those newer tvr owners Ive been passing with a sick engine already ;)
time to book another track day methinks :)

This brings up an interesting question
When you put the old demon tweeks adjustable doobry whats it called, oh yes, pressure valve, what bar do you set it to, assuming you can find somebody with a tester that isn't broken?
I would assume that you would set it to a bar value by choice, rather than tweek by ear.

have you got a v6 or v8? if you have a v6 then you can get superchips to set your ecu up for you, or run a dastek unichip piggyback ecu .. like podie had at austec.
best thing about a dastek is it's a fixed price and money back guarantee, they're a bargain.
was really chuffed with that chip on the S... it was clearly running lean when I took it in, the chip cured that, along with making it SO much smoother (and enjoyable) to drive.Gassing Station | S Series | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
