Gearshift lever question
Discussion
Hi All,
I am about to put the body back on the chassis at the end of the month. One thing that has been bothering me is how to avoid accidently crushing the gear stick if we lower the body and the gearstick doesn't pop up through the transmission tunnel.
If I take the gearstick off the gearbox does anyone know if it is possible to put it back on once the body is in place. It looks like it is held on with 4 torx screws but I am unsure whether i would have sufficient access once body is in the way.

Just an idea but perhaps some sort of tall helmet for the lever would work.
If you can make it the same height as the highest part of the chassis or engine (looks like the engine is the highest point from your photo) Then once your over the top of the helmet you would no longer have to worry about it lining up, being caught or damaged.
If you do go this route then make sure it fits right through the body HAHA.
Hope this helps
