After following Hoover33 on the way to SCH3 and falling in love with his exhaust note :cloud9: I ma having the same done to my car tomorrow (watch out Doddsy)

Apparently it involves taking out the wadding in the silencer and fitting a straight through 'Cherry bomb' pipe, which makes it sound :lick:

I am going to try to take a before and after sound recording, if anyones interested in the results and I can send them to you or post on Pies site?

Looking forward to driving back from the garage tomorrow

Hi Mike,

Had mine done and collected the car on Wednesday, the difference in sound was amazing, my Chimaera had always been one of the quite ones, but having the cherrybombs fitted has changed all that

Yes it was at Offords, is that where you are going?

I had a 2 hour drive back, but took all the country lanes to wake the small villages up so it took about 3 hours in the end

My ears were ringing when I finshed the drive

Enjoy the drive back

I find the only down side is that my neighbours REALLY REALLY don't like me starting the car up early at the weekened when they are tucked up in bed and I am off to meet more like minded PH's to make lots of NOISE n burn some rubber .

Yes Im going to Offords, seems they are the ones that use the cherry bombs.....? Dont know any others that do? Have taken an audio recording of the exhaust note today, will take more over the weekend to show the differences....?

My neighbours should be OK, I only have one neighbour to my right and hes nearly deaf...? and non to the left, the houses over the road are a good 60-70 metres away so lots of distance and the guy over the road has a drag racer cortina that shakes our house everytime he goes out in it so he cant complain, might give him a run for his money

Is it possible to fit these cherry `whatsits` to an `S` exhaust ?

Having been a passenger in Hoovers car once I can only agree that it sounds awesome from the inside too!

Sorry guys, been too busy driving and trying to get the smile off my face to post???

Sound is absolutely awesome, like Andy said sounds more like a Nascar racer now, hard to tell if it sounds like Hoovers from the inside but its similar, very, very happy with the results??? Because of the wet weather today not sure if I can take any recordings, but will try if not it will have to be tomorrow morning....? Turn your speakers up and listen.............its like having a new car, it used to make me smile before but now I am laughing out loud as I drive....Wooohooo!

Til later when you can tell me what you think, ciao

Mine has a blue flame exhaust with two cherry bombs on it. Must admit, it does sound nice....In an ear splitting / spine shattering way.

Hi All,
Well still smiling and I have a few audio files for you, not the best quality and they by no means tell the full picture of how good it sounds but should give some before/after comparisons.....?

Idle before

www.tvrsseries.com/sowners/mikesmith/exhaustidlebefore.dat

Idle after

www.tvrsseries.com/sowners/mikesmith/Exhaustonthemove2before.dat

on the move before

www.tvrsseries.com/sowners/mikesmith/Exhaustidleafter.dat

On the move after

www.tvrsseries.com/sowners/mikesmith/Exhaustonthemoveafter.dat

Like I said they are not the best quality as its just a digi camera in the car recording the sound. It doesnt show anywhere near how good the sound is but enjoy anyway.
