Now here is something of a puzzle Whilst i had the steering column cowl off, sorting out why the indicator stalk doesn't self cancel, i happened to spot this tiny toggle switch hidden away See pic It looks like it could a factory fit anyone any ideas?

I had a 'hidden switch' on my MGB many, many years ago.

it was a single-pole changeover switch that diverted the switched output from the ignition switch to the horn wiring: a cheap and effective immobiliser and alarm!

I used to put a hidden “off switch” for security. Turn it off and see what happens?

You'll need to trace the wires back to make sense of it.

Has it got a voltage on any of the wires going to it? Check ignition off and engine running.
