TVR S2… ish throttle cable mount
Discussion
Hi all,
I new to this forum and forums in general but I have a problem and don't know how to proceed. I am renovating my TVR here in Corfu and I've lost a bracket. It the top right piece in the "geography of parts" photo. It needed to be altered to fit the new throttle cable and between the fabricator and myself we managed to loose it. Any ideas. I'm unable to trawl through Scrapyards and don't know it it's Ford standard or TVR specific. It's a 2.9i EFI Cologne

Not sure what parts of the throttle from the RV8 powered chimp would readily fit to the Cologne V6 ..
The 'straight slot' throttle plate gives quicker / faster throttle response from the 'chicane slot' version. Ford did make them but the chincane slot versions can be machined and filled.
Alternatively, if you're tired of the TVR traction control of the long throttle then some have connected the throttle cable directly to the butterfly pulley.
There was a thread in this forum from 5-years back (ish) about modding the throttle plate to 'straight slot'. I donated my spare straight slot to get the ball rolling to one of the forum's 'modders' who would supply plates one at a time on an exchange basis.

In case you can't find the original S parts, my local specialist fitted a Chimaera throttle assembly to my 1989 S2, saying it was a better smoother system. Photo :
Wonder where they got that idea from https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
