help!!!! wipers

my s1 is in the local garage the wipers would not work the mechanic said the motor was ok but its the mechanics that work the wiper arms can anyone tell me how i can source these its a 1988 s1 with 2 bonnet pulls helpppppp!!!!!

If it's the worm drive I think it was a TVR specific part.

I'd be interested also, the early cars appear to have a 'heath robinson' wiper assembly. Instead of wheel boxes it appears to be some sort of contraption with clip together ball joints. The wiper spindles can come lose against the bodywork and then seize up.

Are the spindles still tight with the arms removed ? I found I had to file down the female part of the arm a few thou to prevent the fixing nut clamping the whole spindle assembly together, in turn locking up the whole mechanism. I could draw you a diagram of the issue I found ?

Budhub, do you have a tvr bible? read pages 128-132 it may throw some light on your problem, hope it helps.
