V8S sump gasket

What’s the go to method for sump baskets on the V8S? I am used to not having them on the Griff and Chimaera 500 sumps, and have had good success and no leaks using Dirko. Has anyone just used sealer alone without the cork gasket?

It is still an RV8 despite the low displacement.
