If your thinking of upgrading your hose to silicone make shore you measure every pipe before your order anything ,as you already know with silicone you have got to have the right size hose for the pipe as they don't expand or contract I only measured one side on mine and came unstuck
The swivel tank outlet was 35mm but where it joined the top of the engine it was 32mm
The pipe from the heater was 16mm but where it joined the water pump at the bottom of the engine was 19mm
The pipe from the top of the air chamber was 16mm but where it joined the auxiliary air device it was14mm
Also the silicone pipe don't bend to what you want so you have to adapt some of the ready made bends to make them fit
Good luck

I did look at them but when I compared them to what was on my car they were not the same shape or quantity I'm clad that I never went do that route other wise I would have been in more trouble ,and buying from a good company not the cheap ones you see sometimes on ebay they still worked out cheaper

So many hoses are 'bespoke' (and this applies to ALL cars) that I would suggest the best starting place is a kit of 'bespoke' hoses, where someone has done the hard work for you. It may not be perfect or complete, but it's got to be better than cobbling mismatched sizes and bends together.

The company I used make bends with different sizes outlets ie 35mm one end and 32mm the other so you don’t have to couple different sizes bends together
Agreed I would have gone for a ready made kit but as I said there was to many differences in the kit to my car

Car Builder Solutions make some very easy sleeves to get round this problem, they are good and they work.

Was this the ACT kit, and definitely the correct one for your engine? Are you saying their kit is wrong or has your car been modified?

I don’t know if Act kit if wrong but it not the right one for me
The only changes to my car is a new swirl pot and a set of stainless steel pipes all from Act
There set show 3 x 45% bends mine needs 1x45 and that’s got to be reduced from 35mm one end and 32mm the other and 2x90% bends the kit also show an S shape pipe which I don’t have, the long 16mm straight pipe also needs to be as I have said 16mm one end and 19mm the other also the C shape pipe I don’t have I also needed 16mm right angles

Which engine does your car have?

It's hard to believe that ACT who have been supplying hose kits for so long have got it so wrong?

yes

I wonder whether the OP has a different engine to what they think they have. Given the number of gradual changes over the years it's entirely possible they have a hybrid of engine/body versions.

Yes I got the car in 1999 and I’m only the second owner and yes it’s the original engine that TVR installed
The kit I looked at was the 2.8 version

Mine is an S1
I can see layout differences.
You have a different swirlpot, Mine has just 3 entries.
I do not have the small bore pipe from top of radiator, nor is that shown on the original parts list.
The bottom hose from the rad comes out straight not angled upwards.
Looks like I also have different route to the heater hoses.
So much blue on yours I struggle to see the pipe routes!!!

Now you can see how many pipes I have compared to the ACT kit I don't think there are two S1 the same that's why I never went for the kit in the first place
probable when ACT made the kit up the car they had every thing fitted
