Been a run in the S today and surprised with the problem it has got, runs fine and then judders and then runs fine again, it has done it when coasting but is worse under acceleration, don´t know if this has anything to do with it but it had its Spanish mot the other week and the emissions were higher than normal.

It could be anything I'm afraid but start with the electrics. Check the HT leads and connections to the distributor and then work through the rest.

Mild shunting can be caused by anything throwing the engine slightly out of tune. It can be aggravated by worn transmission and/or bushes.
