Hi there !

I'm the co-owner of a TVR S3 LHD with my dad.
Last year my dad had a little crash inside his garage, as a result the steering rack was damaged.

Last november I sent this rack to Kiley Clinton in Birmingham ( https://steering-racks.co.uk/ ) . They never picked my parcel up at the local post office after customs clearance...they are not responding to my emails or phone calls, actually I don't even know if these guys are still in business...)
what I know from my tracking number is that the rack stayed there for 30 days and is now lost in the UK post office system or in between UK and Belgium where I live...the S3 is on jack stands since 3 months now frown

As I might never have my rack back so I'm actively looking to find a replacement part ... Any idea where to look for ?? LHD S3 are quite rare, less than 100 or so were built....

Thanks a million for your help guys !

Greg

Good to know they are still open... I've tried calling this number twice yesterday and again twice today... No voice mail, no message... 3 emails also left without any response too... I guess they have enough work.

Strange. I got through straight away. Have you used the correct international dialling code?

The retro fit power steering mod for the Chimps and Griefs using a Subaru rack also fits the S. It has been done by a couple of members on here.

A lot cheaper than trying to source an original item.

TVR sourced the rack from the Vauxhall Chevette and modified it to fit the 'S'. Was the Chevette sold in Europe as the Opel Kadett? If so then another option you have is to see if a Kadett rack will fit - although it will need modifying. Easy enough if you can get your old one back.

How bad is the damage?

Hard to imagine how you could do too much damage within a garage!

Well that is a shame.

Sounds like an excellent opportunity to fit the Subaru rack along with an electric hydralic pump and gain power steering.

The rack came back home. Oliver @Kiley Clifton was sick.
Sending it back to Birmingham for repair.
