Has anyone modified the S3 dash to accept a double DIN head unit?

Otherwise it has to be a single DIN unit with pull out screen, but I'd rather have a 2DIn unit in there.

I realise anything is possible with enough effort, but I wondered if anyone had attempted and possibly succeeded with this?

I think you're going to struggle with that one. Assuming you have the separate centre console there just isn't enough height in the moulding to accommodate that size of head and the pull out screen would probably foul the gear stick.

Anyway, how come you are driving so slowly that you can hear music? You'll be telling us next you put the roof on

I think room could be made to accommoddate a double din in the S3 on dash. Lot of work though. Only you'll know if it is worth it.

Might be handy for satnav function but quality audio
