My S is running 18" wheels (yes I know, they should be 16" 's or 17" 's , I did not buy them. And I have the original 15" on the shelf :-) ) and wonder what wheel alignment numbers would be recommended for 17" or 18" 's.

I run Cossy disks in the back with S V8 hubs (wider stance), 10mm spacers in the back and 5mm in the front (longer studs).

Do I use standard settings or something else.

I just changes UJ's and the steering wheel bearing and the steering wheel is a little off center now so a front wheel adjustment is in the cards.

Don't think I missed a spline so probably slightly different splines on the replacement UJ's

Thank you

Use the standard settings unless you have a reason not to.

If you're using non-standard wheels, especially with spacers involved, check the contact patch / steering axis offset. Too much offset will give you unpleasant kickback and poor steering feel regardless of the rest of the geometry.

The angles won't change, just be aware if they're measuring eg toe in mm, not °.
Having said that, any difference is doubtless less than the margin of error anyway!

I run 17's as the standard 15's won't fit over my 295mm dics and Griff AP 4 pots.

The standard front wishbone and Sierra uprights work fine, although I had to have the rack overhauled to get the steering to self centre.

It is unlikely the column is a spline out as the pinch bolt probably not fit. Re-align by ensuring the wheel is central (same turns/angle in each direction) Then adjust the track rod ends to have the wheels within the normal tolerance (very slightly toe-in or 0 I believe)

Good news.

I agree that the locking bolts should not fit with a spline missed but the wheel is about 8-10 degrees out of line now. All UJ joints were from a reputable TVR parts supplier. Odd

I will just find a firm to do front wheel alignment then.

Thank you

The steering shaft is like this at each end, UJ can go on anywhere it wants!

With 36 splines each spline will give 10 degrees on the steering wheel.

Were it like this then yes, the UJ pinch bolt would only fit in one position
