bills1 - back in August you posted a thread on a Tonneau cover you had on your S1 you mentioned it was pictured on the Cambridge Club website but I can't find the link. I'm keen on getting one, if not a full Tonneau then at least a passenger side only.Could you please post a picture of yours or e-mail me with it and any details you have ie price, supplier etc.If any other PHr has info. on one perhaps you could comment. I think they would be an advantage for winter driving and for that added bit of security.

My tonneau is a simple sheet made for me by a local tent maker. You can see it in use at the Duxford event on the TVR Club Website on the Duxford page and again in the Duxford pics.
As rain was threatning I quickly clipped the cover, on which covers the gap between the windscreen and rear panel.
I keep it behind the drivers seat and it is held in place by bungy straps which clip to the wing mirrors and rear wheels. I find it very useful at home and club meetings when I want to park without having to put the roof on and be protected against any rain.
It was perfect at Duxford. While I was going round the museum there was a heavy shower but my tivy was ok with its tonneau.
It only cost £15 plus 4 bungy staps from Halfords.
I can pop it on in seconds.
If you want to get one made up I will let you have the measurements and a local tent maker/repairer will soon make you one or I cam]n put you in touch with guy who made mine. Of course these will also fit Chimaeras and Griffs which are essentialy same without the roof panel.

Bill-thanks for your reply, I can follow your layout.
I have had a few tonneaus made for me in the past by a vehicle upholsterer and I will take the car to him to see what he can come up with. The main problems in the past have been in either the use of "lift the dot" fastenings or push studs, I think the latter may be needed for a good fixing on fibreglass. I can keep anyone posted on findings if interested.
