Just been belatedly watching NASA TV for last night's latest SpaceX take-off

The on-screen telemetry shows that its 0-96 KPH / 60 MPH time is 9 seconds, meaning that most of our cars are faster. Admittedly, it would be a fair bit quicker if going horizontally instead of straight up ... and it does max out at a somewhat higher top speed of 27,010 KPH / 16,881 MPH. But its "all-important" 0-60 time is a little sluggish ¦:¬)

And I really like that my car is faster than a rocket

I reckon that corresponds to a total acceleration of about 1.3G. My transmission would end up looking like a pretzel if I had enough grip to beat that.
