One more back on the road
Discussion
Today I celebrate putting my Black S1 back on the road after well over ten years of total chassis strip down and rebuild. I thought, at times, it would never happen but with the final help of Barry the owner of Laindon MOT (who was the mechanic for it when my friend had it new), and who sorted out LOADS of niggles, I was blasting around in the sun again with its £104.50p., 30.06.10 dated tax disc still on the windscreen. I had forgotten that sound....oh yes, also the scraping exhaust!!!! Welcome back F22OLH
Thank you for your kind words. I don’t know how to launch pictures. Enough to say the underside looked better than the up top bit does.
I’ve had the bonnet and boot lid painted but the rest is looking dull compared Can’t spend any more just now because I have already spent more than she is worth. It seems Ss are the poor relation of TVRs when it comes to value…. there now seems to be 88 Ss on the road.
I just want to enjoy to drive it, not show it, if you know what I mean
I can at least drive it to a ‘meet’ with a smile on my face
