K&N air filter

Hey everyone,

New to the forum, just purchased a 1988 S1. I have seen the alternative parts list etc.. saying which K&N air filter will fit the Capri 2.8i engine, listed as MM3-2013. But does anyone know where I can order one of these? A link woukd be great. Can't seem to find it listed on any website.

hi mate welcome to the site, not sure on the 2.8 filter, but are you coming to s heaven next weekend?

Welcome to the wonderful world of S ownership Ian..
As regards your filter the current part number appears to be 33-2001 (panel filter for '87 2.8i capri) as found at K&N online shop, here :- <a href="http://shop.knfilters.com/KNShop/SearchByApplication.aspx">http://shop.knfilters.com/KNShop/SearchByApplication.aspx</a>
However 33-2013 is listed for both Sierra and Granada 2.8 and 2.9!!!!
Best to check which one you need, details of sizes can be found on the site so a simple measure of your air box should clarify it for you..
Unfortunately this is the US site so prices are in US$ but maybe you will have more luck finding it locally with that number.

Thanks guys,

I won't be making S club I am afraid, I work all weekends. Will try and make one sometime though.

I guess it must be one of those! I will get measuring them. I have just run it through its MOT and had to change the top ball joints ( Saab 900 ) and the track rod ends which were supposed to be Escort MK2's I believe but ended up being Granada MK3's on closer inspection.
