Discussion
Hi all,
I've been searching for info on a Ford "startester" diagnostic machine as I need some assistance in diagnosing the poor running of my 1995 Fiesta (sorry!).
I wondered if anyone on here had one? My diagnostic port is as follows, which I believe is the same as on an S3.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, The draper fault code reader worked for getting the ECU to deliver flashes to an LED, which in turn allowed the ECU to be triggered into service mode. this was based on the 88 version of the control box.
The connector your refering too was on "some" tvrs but not all.
indeed most are early versions of ECU control with no memory and as such, the codes are basic and getting it into service mode to set up 12 BTDC was the main aim of the connection.
This might be an alternative to the STAR tester you've been looking for.

I've also since found out my car also has a very early OBD2 port so I am going to try and read some codes from that as well.
