Repeat of two episodes of Wheeler Dealers on channel Quest next week (Freeview 12), midnight 30 March to 1 a.m. 31st.

From the episode guide, series 6 : TVR S2 :
Purchase price £2550! Total costs £3040. Sold for £4250. Work Completed: Replaced brake servo and master cylinder, track-rod ends, wheel alignment & tracking, re-cored radiator, electrics professionally checked, replaced hazard warning light switch, resoldered scotch locks in the wiring loom, fitted new metal plate at bottom of aerial, lubricated left side power window mechanism, re-trimmed seats, welded bolts in place on bottom of seat frames. Notes: Acquired through eBay.

If it's the one I saw they also put new discs and calipers on as well but not listed in the build costs.

I believe someone asked Mike Brewer about that at a show and he said they came with the car but not fitted, hence not listed in costs.

So lost money then.
I own a TVR so I don’t know why I sound surprised. biggrin
Did a nice job by the sounds of that though. Good on him

If they ever added labour costs to this (Brilliant) program, they would loose on every car they touched!

They unfairly referred to it being "unreliable" several times, without at any point informing viewers about the fact that they bought a car with very high mileage. I checked the copyright date at the end of the programme, and then looked at the MoT history. The car had over 103,000 miles when they bought it. It wasn't unreliable - it just had a high mileage and had not been properly serviced. ANY car with that history would need the kind of work they did.
