Starter Motor - Part No's & Motor Factors

Hooray. Have finally got the starter motor off the S3. It's only taken two weeks !
It seems to be a Bosch unit. I was hoping to replace it with a genuine Ford reconditioned one. Does anyone know what the part number might be for that ? I've searched the net and the S parts list and come up with nothing so far.
Also - are there any Motor Factors around West London that anyone would recommend ?

Ig going to a motor factors.... I suggest taking the part with you.
They will log your car reg in to a data base, and then that will pop up with the part you need. However when I changed my rotar arm... I ended up with a totally unrecognisable part. Went back and got them to look up a Ford 2.9 engine for compatable parts

As far as I can see, the original starter was a Bosch unit, type 0 001 108 035. The starter motor seems to be the same for all the 2.8 and 2.9 Granadas.
Curious - the one that came off the car is marked as a Bosch 1 005 821 089.
I guess I'll need to find a motor factors local and take it in to them.

DO NOT try to go the "car reg" method for TVR parts - you will more often get the wrong part than the right one.
Tell them you want a starter motor for a Ford Granada 2.9 (I think the earlier 2.8 is the same part, but let's keep it simple) - if they ask the year say 1990 (although 1985 to 1994 are all the same) - if they want to sell you one, they can work through the database a bit more thoroughly or get the catalogues out, it's not that hard. If they can't be bothered, then you're in the wrong motor factors, walk out.
