A scenic tour of the SW peninsula's and some Circuit of Ireland rally classic stages.

Starting at the Barack Obama Plaza services J23 on the M7 (1hr 30 from Dublin) at 10:00am
I have not included getting there as there are several ferries and a good choice of hotels.
This is a scenic tout of the peninsula’s and taking in classic stages from the 1983 and 1986 Circuit of Ireland rallies.
Day 1: To Killarney
Traversing some/all of the following 1983 stages
SS18 Devils Bit Mountain, SS19 Castle Otway, SS20 Coreeny Common, SS21 Blackboy Bridge
SS22 Toornafulla, SS37 Caher and SS23 Knockrower East and on into Killarney.
Day 2: Killarney to Kenmare
Ring of Kerry COI 1983 stages
SS24 Molls Gap, SS32 Ballaghbeama and SS33 Caragh Lake then to Kenmare
Day 3: Kenmare to Cork
Beara Peninsula and more 1983 stages
SS25 Killmakillogue, SS26 Ardgroom, SS27 Cods Head and SS28 knockoura then to Cork
Day 4: Cork to Waterford
Switching to the 1986 COI stages
SS25 Gortnapeaky, SS 26 Newcastle, SS 21 Geneva Barracks and SS 22 Corbally
Again, I have not included how you go home from Waterford which is 2hr from Dublin.

I have booked the following hotels.
21 April Abbeyleix Manor Hotel near the start venue.
22 April Killarney Court Hotel.
23 April Abbey Court Hotel Kenmare (a few hotels in Kenmare and Glengarriff.
24 April Cork International Hotel.
25 April Treacy's Hotel in Waterford.

All of these have a pay on the day and free cancellation policies.

Anyone fancy joining for some or all, just book your own accommodation and join us.

Hello Mick,
I will try to join you at some point for one of the runs. I will have to see what is happening with work nearer the time.

Mick's tour of SW Ireland: Note that P&O have now released the timetable for Liverpool to Dublin. Holyhead to Dublin has been available for some time. I'm using the Holyhead route, going out Thur 21st April at 14:10 and returning Tue 26 April 2022 13:50.

Looks great. Anyone know how ROI is considered under most insurance policies? Trying to work out whether I need to buy the European cover or not.

I've always informed my insurers when I visit family in Ireland.

I'd guess that since Brexit the ROI will be deemed part of mainland Europe. However, my policy includes driving in Europe at no extra cost....there is a limit on length of stay though. Got to be worth a 'phone call?
